Fixing The Bruins

Welcome to a our continuing series as part of our month long celebration of our fourth anniversary. This series is similar to our concepts page, but focuses on how each of the NHL's thirty teams could improve upon their current center ice designs. Some teams could use a lot of work and for each team we will post 2-3 ideas for how they might improve their ice. Lets face it though, some teams already have a perfect center ice but to be fair we will still look at some alternate ideas. Please let us know which you prefer in the comments below, or let us know if you think it is perfect as is.

Boston Bruins: It's a shame to see the Bruins ice come out early this season. Although most people know I am a Blues fan, I think the Bruins have the best center ice in the league. Having switched back to the solid red line, I honestly wouldn't change a thing, so that makes doing a "Fixing The Bruins" post very difficult. Never-the-less, I said I would get to all 30 teams, so lets go ahead and look at one I hate to mess with.

Option 1: Same basic design but I know the Bruins love to change the red line from year to year. In the last 10 years the Bruins have had 8 different red line designs. During this time they have not used the same red line as they used the previous season. The only design that they have reused has been the solid red line which is a win in my book. But since it is very likely that they will change the red line next season, how about a mostly white red line. Keep it simple.

Option 2: I am reaching on this one, but what about a black and white version of the Bruins logo at center ice?

Option 3: Lets keep it the same! A classy, iconic logo without the noisy distraction from a red line pattern.

What ice design should the Bruins go with? Comment below!
